Wedding Fair; Milling Barn at Bluntswood Hall

Milling Barn at Bluntswood Hall wedding venue

We were invited to the wedding fair by the Milling Barn events team at Bluntswood Hall.

With its position in the lovely North Hertfordshire countryside, Milling Barn at Bluntswood Hall is a very well appointed wedding venue catering to those who are seeking a select environment for that special day.

The venue is situated within the estate of a family run farm and prides itself on being able to provide everything from bespoke wedding ceremonies to services and wedding receptions which are specialties they have been providing for over 10 years.

The Milling Barn dates back to the 17th century and is of a gorgeous oak construction. The adjoining Dairy Barn is a converted milking parlour. Since the latter part of 2013 the venue has undergone a package of changes. These include major renovations both on the inside and the outside and an expansion of the venue to allow for increased capacity.

Both barns are licensed to hold civil weddings and partnerships and both have licensed bars.

It had been a busy day at the salon but we still managed to get cleaned up and leave for Bluntswood by just after 5pm. We arrived at Bluntswood and got straight down to setting up our table. Four of us were in attendance from the salon, Julie Killick, Verity Moule, Kimberley Paine and Nat Massey.

We had been to Milling Barn before to attend Verity’s wedding reception but all of us remarked on how the refurbishment had kept the beautiful character of the oak barn while adding a luxurious and contemporary feel.

An extensive buffet had been laid on for the attendees and exhibitors which was most welcome and very tasty. There were lots of people who attended the fair and we spoke to a good many providing them with a sample of the service we provide. Before the event we created some goody bags for people to take away and we gave out 85 of these during the evening.
